Meet Milly. This one-year-old sweetheart was found as a stray suffering from painful porcupine quills that have made it hard for her to eat and caused severe damage to one of her eyes.
When she arrived, our veterinary team removed as many quills as possible in surgery. She'll likely still lose her damaged eye as well, but her body needs time to heal from the trauma and infection before she can undergo enucleation surgery. She’s currently on antibiotics, gaining strength, and finally getting the care she’s been missing. With a little time and support, she’ll be ready for the next step toward a pain-free future.
Despite everything she’s been through, Milly has been incredibly gentle and trusting with our team. It's as if she knows we're here to help and she’s safe now.
