Sweet little Crumbsie is just a baby at only about 7 weeks old, and she has already faced so much. She should be exploring, binkying, and discovering the world, but instead, she was found sick and struggling in a backyard. Thankfully, a kind stranger found her and took her to get help.
Both of Crumbsie’s eyes are painfully inflamed, with ulcers and clogged tear ducts making it hard for her to see and stay comfortable. Our veterinary team has already tried to drain the ducts, but will need to do so again. Based on her condition, we suspect she may be battling either a pasteurella infection or the chlamydia virus.
Right now, Crumbsie is receiving antibiotic eye drops, oral antibiotics and pain medication to keep her comfortable as her little body works to heal. She’ll need continued veterinary care, and when she’s healthier and old enough, she’ll still need her RHD vaccine and spay surgery before she can safely start her next chapter.
Crumbsie didn’t get a gentle start to life, but with your help, her story can be one of hope and compassion. Will you help us show Crumbsie that the world can be kind?
Email updates showing Crumbsie's progress will be provided to those who donate towards her care.
Care requirements include antibiotic eye drops, systemic oral antibiotics, pain medications, RHD vaccination, spay surgery, follow-up veterinary care and daily care until Crumbsie is ready for adoption.
If the amount raised for Crumbsie exceeds her cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
