He's big, he's FLUFFY, and he needs your help! Chubbs is approximately two-years-old and might be more teddy bear than dog. Unfortunately for him, like a well-loved teddy bear, he needs an operation to feel like himself again and be ready to make a house a home.
When Chubbs came into our care we discovered he was missing an ear flap! We don't know how he lost it, but we know he needs help. He still has all the inner workings of the ear, but it is quite sore and infected. Without the protection of the pinna (ear flap), it will only continue to become infected over and over again.
To end the cycle of painful infections, Chubbs needs a Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) surgery with a specialist. This procedure will make him deaf in one ear, but will greatly improve his quality of life by stopping his pain.
