Meet Thistle! This sweet pup arrived at our veterinary hospital for a routine neuter surgery, but during his exam, our veterinarians discovered an abnormal heart rhythm.
To learn more, we performed an EKG: a simple, non-invasive test that records the heart's electrical activity. We've sent the results to a cardiologist for review, and our next steps are chest X-rays and another EKG, then send the corresponding data to the Cardiologist for interpretation. Further diagnostics may or may not be indicated.
Thistle is still happy and playful, completely oblivious that anything might be amiss! But we're not taking any risks with this little guy, and are making sure to do a full workup before we look for a forever home for him.

Care requirements include vet exams, chest radiographs, EKGs and +\-echocardiogram to determine structural deficiencies and if any treatments are available, and daily care until Thistle is ready for adoption.
