Meet our handsome, lovable boy, Bullet!
Bullet was saved from a ruff life as a stray in a rural community. When he came to AARCS, we discovered just how ruff he'd been living. We found that Bullet had several broken teeth and severe muscle atrophy on his right hind leg, prompting us to take x-rays.
Heartbreakingly, Bullet has a broken hip, caused by a trauma prior to his arrival with us. In an effort to save his leg, Bullet needs a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery. In this procedure, the head and neck of the femur are removed in order to restore pain-free mobility to the damaged hip. After surgery, it will take 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation and ongoing vet checks to ensure appropriate healing.
