At just 3-months-old, little chihuahua Rowan is fighting against the dreaded Parvovirus. Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease that causes fever, vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite, among other worrisome symptoms. Unvaccinated puppies are highly susceptible to the disease, and treatment is not always enough to save an infected dog.
Rowan has been hospitalized and his care transferred to AARCS. We are providing supportive care to give him the best possible chance at survival, and at this point we can only hope that everything we do is enough to save him.
We named him after the rowan tree: a symbol of strength and protection in some cultures. Can you help us do everything possible to try to save this sick puppy?

Care requirements include hospitalization, IV medication administration, repeated bloodwork daily, medication, personal protective equipment, time spent in isolation and medication administration by a vet or tech, along with daily care until Rowan is ready for adoption.
If the amount raised for Rowan exceeds his cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
