Meet Frankie and Toro, two adorable guinea pigs who were carelessly abandoned in a rental unit and brought to us by the property management team. These sweet piggies are currently facing a tough battle with ringworm, a stubborn fungal infection that can spread to both animals and humans through direct contact. Frankie and Toro are now living in our isolation trailer, where they are receiving regular baths in Limer Sulfur along with oral antifungal medication to help fight off this persistent infection.
Caring for animals with ringworm requires extra precautions to prevent the infection from spreading. Our team is doing everything possible to ensure Frankie and Toro get the care they need, but we need your support to cover their medical treatment and continued care. Your donation will help us provide their ongoing treatments, while also protecting the staff and volunteers who handle them. With your generosity, we can give Frankie and Toro the healthy, happy lives they deserve.
Please consider donating today to help these resilient little piggies heal and find their forever home!
Email updates showing Frankie & Toro's progress will be provided to those who donate towards their care.
Care requirements include ongoing ringworm treatments, isolation and personal protective equipment (PPE), recurrent veterinary exams, recurrent Ringworm PCR and culture testing through a laboratory, and daily care until Frankie and Toro are ready for adoption.
If the amount raised for Frankie & Toro exceeds their cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
Please note that when donating to more than one animal, your credit card may be flagged for unusual activity. We recommend waiting a few minutes between transactions to prevent this error. Thank you for your patience!
