Sophie, a sweet 13-year-old pit bull type dog, recently came into our care, and she’s already stealing hearts with her gentle spirit. Despite her age, Sophie’s zest for life is undeniable. Her bouncy greetings, wagging tail and soulful eyes tell us she’s not ready to slow down just yet!
However, Sophie has a few medical challenges standing in the way of finding her forever home. She has a large lump on her back that needs to be removed and sent for histopathology to ensure it’s nothing too serious; her teeth are in rough shape, requiring a major dental procedure; and her sore, aging hips need x-rays to determine the best way to keep her comfortable and mobile.
With your help, we can give this sweet old girl the second chance she so deserves. Your support will help cover the cost of Sophie's diagnostics, surgeries and the ongoing care she needs to enjoy her golden years. Sophie has so much love left to give, and together, we can ensure she gets to live her best life!

Care requirements include x-rays, lumpectomy and histopathology, major dental surgery, follow-up veterinary appointments, arthritis and pain management medications, and daily care until Sophie is ready for adoption.
If the amount raised for Sophie exceeds her cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
