Sweet little Cheesecake has been through a lot. This adorable bunny recently battled GI stasis, a serious condition for rabbits, but with expert care she made a full recovery. However, during her hospital stay, our veterinary team discovered a concerning mass.
We performed a fine needle aspirate and sent it off for testing, confirming that it is a mammary gland mass. While some of these masses are benign, they are often malignant in rabbits. The only way to know for sure is to remove it and send it for further testing.
Cheesecake will be seeing one of our trusted veterinary partners experienced in exotic animal surgery for this important procedure. We are hopeful that removing the mass now will give her the best chance at a long and happy life, but we need your help to get her there.
