From the moment she arrived, we could tell Eagle wasn’t feeling her best. Her eye was abnormal and leaking discharge, and despite treatment and monitoring, it just wasn’t getting better. On top of that, Eagle was also suffering from infected ears and was diagnosed with mammary hyperplasia, which is a condition causing one or more mammary glands to become swollen and enlarged. This condition is usually seen in young sexually intact females following estrus (being in heat). The primary treatment is a spay surgery, so she was rushed to surgery to have this done.
Regarding her eye, our veterinary team determined that the best path forward for Eagle's comfort is to remove her damaged eye. This surgery will relieve her discomfort and allow her to focus on what really matters: feeling safe, loved and healthy again.
Eagle has no shortage of love to give. With your help, we can cover the cost of her surgery, medications and follow-up care so she can find the forever home she deserves!
Email updates showing Eagle's progress will be provided to those who donate towards her care.
Care requirements include enucleation surgery, emergency spay surgery, ear drops, pain medications, follow-up veterinary care and daily care until Eagle finds her forever home.
If the amount raised for Eagle exceeds her cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
Please note that when donating to more than one animal, your credit card may be flagged for unusual activity. We recommend waiting a few minutes between transactions to prevent this error. Thank you for your patience!
