Mexico is a 9-month-old kitten with an unknown past and a lot of medical challenges. Since coming into our care, he’s struggled with vomiting, skin allergies, and trouble gaining weight. After extensive testing, we discovered he has a hiatal hernia, and possibly a diaphragmatic hernia as well.
We won’t know the full extent until his surgeon begins the procedure. If it’s a diaphragmatic hernia, Mexico will need intensive post-operative care, including a chest tube and an overnight hospital stay. Either way, this is a high-risk, complex surgery, and his outcome is uncertain.
Can you be a part of giving sweet Mexico the care he urgently needs? If everything goes well, he will finally be able live the happy, healthy life he deserves – but we need your help to give him that chance.
Email updates showing Mexico's progress will be provided to those who donate towards his care.
Care requirements include hernia repair surgery, x-rays, possible chest tube and overnight hospitalization, pain medications, follow up veterinary care and daily care until Mexico finds his forever home.
If the amount raised for Mexico exceeds his cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
