Itching to Help Garnet

Garnet came into our care visibly unwell – her fur patchy, her skin inflamed and itchy. After examination, our veterinary team diagnosed her with demodex mange, a painful skin condition caused by mites that naturally live on the skin but become a problem when a dog’s immune system is under stress.

To help Garnet heal and feel relief, she’ll need a course of oral antibiotics to treat a secondary skin infection as well as soothing medicated baths to calm her irritated skin. With time and care, we know she’ll start to feel so much better.

Please consider donating to help cover Garnet’s treatment. With your support, this sweet pup can leave the pain behind and look forward to a brighter, healthier future – and a forever home of her very own some day!

Email updates showing Garnet's progress will be provided to those who donate towards her care.

Care requirements include medicated baths for topical treatment, oral antibiotics for systemic treatment, spay surgery, follow up veterinary care and daily care until Garnet is ready for adoption.

If the amount raised for Garnet exceeds her cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.

Please note that when donating to more than one animal, your credit card may be flagged for unusual activity. We recommend waiting a few minutes between transactions to prevent this error. Thank you for your patience!
