That puffy face earned him his adorable name, but Sweet Cheeks shouldn't look this way.
This adorable boy had a face full of deeply embedded porcupine quills – painful, but treatable. However, due to a lack of veterinary care in the area, a kind person tried their best to help him on their own. They attempted to remove the quills, but it sadly resulted in large, painful abscesses – the origin of his puffy cheeks. We took him in for surgery and removed 16 quills from deep within his cheeks. He will require several more surgeries to remove more quills as they emerge.
Sweet Cheeks is getting the care he needs, but we can't do it alone. Can you help us cover the costs to get him healthy, happy and pain free once more?

Care requirements include emergency quill removal surgery, repeat quill removal surgeries, antibiotics, pain medications, neuter surgery, follow up veterinary care and daily care until Sweet Cheeks is ready for adoption.
