Sweet little Art just tested positive for parvovirus, a highly contagious and often deadly disease that spreads rapidly among unvaccinated dogs – especially vulnerable puppies like him. Art is now the third puppy from a recent intake to test positive, and we are closely monitoring those of his siblings who are still outwardly healthy.
Parvo attacks quickly and aggressively, but with immediate, intensive care, many puppies can survive and go on to live happy, healthy lives. Right now, Art is hospitalized and fighting hard, but treatment comes at an incredible cost: thousands of dollars each day for life-saving fluids, medications and round-the-clock monitoring.
We know that every life is worth fighting for, and we won’t give up on Art or his siblings. But we need your support. Can you help us give Art the strength to kick parvo to the curb and get back to being the happy, playful pup he deserves to be?
Email updates showing Art's progress will be provided to those who donate towards his care.
Care requirements include hospitalization, IV medication administration, repeated bloodwork daily, medication, personal protective equipment, time spent in isolation and medication administration by a vet or tech and daily care until Art finds his forever home.
If the amount raised for Art exceeds his cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
Please note that when donating to more than one animal, your credit card may be flagged for unusual activity. We recommend waiting a few minutes between transactions to prevent this error. Thank you for your patience!
