Bounce Back

Meet Bounce, a young 1.5-year-old bully breed mix who hasn't had the easiest start in life. When Bounce came to us, we noticed his forelimbs were abnormal. After taking x-rays, we discovered the likely cause: we believe Bounce likely developed rickets as a puppy due to poor nutrition. This causes soft, deformed bones and has led to severe skeletal deformities in both of his front legs. Already at such a young age, Bounce is showing signs of arthritis in his elbows.

Despite the challenges he’s faced, Bounce is the sweetest, most loving dog. He’s currently on joint supplements to help manage his condition, and we’re placing him in a foster home where we can monitor his mobility and comfort. Depending on his progress, Bounce may need additional medical therapies, such as pain medications, to keep him happy and comfortable.

Email updates showing Bounce's progress will be provided to those who donate towards his care. 

Care requirements include joint supplements, pain medication, vaccinations, neuter surgery, x-rays of limbs, monitoring mobility in care for a few weeks to confirm comfort levels,  and daily care until Bounce is ready for adoption. 

If the amount raised for Bounce exceeds his cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.
