Snow, a sweet dwarf rabbit, hopped into our care with big dreams and even bigger struggles.

For Snow, every blink has been a battle. His eyes tell a story of pain – he has been diagnosed with refractory ulcers, a condition that result from a weak connection between the surface of his eye and the cornea beneath. Typically, these ulcers appear in older rabbits.

We sent Snow to a veterinary ophthalmologist for his diagnosis. Left untreated, his condition could rob him of his precious vision – or worse, lead to unbearable pain. The ophthalmologist cleaned Snow's eyes, performed a grid keratotomy (tiny cuts in the cornea using a sterile needle), then placed a contact lens to help the ulcers heal. This sweet little bun is receiving drops three times daily while his eyes heal, and for now he is wearing a tiny orange cone that makes him look like a dainty flower. He is also currently separated from his bonded mate, Lexi, so that his eyes can heal. Our goal is to reunite them as soon as we get the OK from the ophthalmologist, as it is very difficult emotionally for bunnies to be away from their best friends.

Snow’s journey to healing is just beginning. He needs specialized care, medications, and follow-up visits with the ophthalmologist to give him the best chance at a pain-free, sight-filled life. This level of care is costly, and we can’t do it without you.

With your generosity, we can ensure that Snow’s story doesn’t end in darkness. Please, donate today and help this brave little bunny see the bright, beautiful world!

Email updates showing Snow's progress will be provided to those who donate towards his care.

Care requirements include specialist appointment and follow-up, grid keratotomy procedure, eye drops 3x daily, hospitalization to ensure proper care is provided, pain medication and daily care until Snow is ready for adoption.

If the amount raised for Snow exceeds his cost of care, funds will help other animals in need.

Please note that when donating to more than one animal, your credit card may be flagged for unusual activity. We recommend waiting a few minutes between transactions to prevent this error. Thank you for your patience!
